Pete is an experienced business leader used to driving change, growth and innovation in both new and existing market places.
He started his career on the ground floor as a mechanical engineering apprentice leading to becoming qualified as a mechanical engineer. This solid grounding has led him on a career spanning some 30 years, mainly in capital equipment manufacture, sales, distribution and support.
Pete has held roles in privately held and public companies in the automotive sector and has particular experience in the automotive aftermarket. His roles have included operational management, business unit management across multiple countries, sales and marketing and general management. He has had full P&L responsibility for multiple business and business units.
Having led an MBO of a Business from funding, stabilisation and growth, through to sale and exit, he can honestly say he has been there and done that. Pete sees his particular strengths in understanding what a business needs to attain profitable growth and making it happen.
His ability to develop a sales and marketing strategy and then actually do it, is somewhat unique! He is able to take the team with him on the journey, no matter where they sit in the business, managing change effectively, but in a timely fashion.
In terms of functional experience, export growth through a driven sales and marketing strategy, has taken him across the world for the last 25 years. He “gets” the distribution model, and understands the concept of global reach.
Pete is married with one son, and is a passionate motorsport fan and when he can, competitor.
